Welcome to the Centre for Drug Research!
- New tools and methods are needed to improve the success rate of drug discovery and development, currently a long and costly process.
The Centre for Drug Research (CDR) is a multidisciplinary research centre carrying out research on improved technologies for preclinical drug discovery and development. We are a part of the Faculty of Pharmacy, located on the Viikki campus.
The CDR started its activities (as Drug Discovery and Development Technology Center, DDTC) in 2000 and it became an independent research centre within the faculty in 2005. The centre is led by professor Arto Urtti.
